Bartog is a truly excellent card game that begins very simple and grows very complex very quickly. It is fast paced and argumentative, and its unique penalty and rule system gives rise to vigourous legal debates and brings out a delicious mercilessness in even the most timid of players. Games typically continue to run until they have grown in complexity to the point at which they are unplayable, which is often the best part of the game.
